Digging in dirt.

I spent some time yesterday digging in dirt. It was heavenly.

Now it's chilly outside again and I wish it would warm up so I could get back out there. There's plenty to do, and even if there wasn't, I would pretend not to notice and just keep on digging.

I realized, while I was digging, that I didn't start this early last year. Here's why: I didn't realize what was coming, quick as a wink, around the corner.

It's funny how, when you know what there is to anticipate, you'll do anything to help it along; to speed it up somehow.
