Farewell, dreamy August.

You have been good to me, this year.

I may not have the tan lines to prove it, but I do have an extra pound, or two.

You were as colorful as ever.

Well, except towards the end.

You taught me a thing or two about tomatoes.

You also taught me that onions are the belles of the raised bed ball and that it's fun to grow banana peppers even if you have no earthly clue what to do with them.

You united me with my inner cowgirl, and I may never be the same.

You provided the perfect end-of-Summer air for a proper camp-out.

What I'm trying to say is, you've shown all of us a good time.

And when I say "all of us", I mean "all of us".
so sad to see it go. it's been a good one! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat pics.. It has been a good month and Our weather has been awesome!!

Ha! We grew banana peppers this year too and I have no clue what to do with them either.
ReplyDeleteI did find a recipe on allrecipes.com that was pretty good. The banana peppers a stuffed with chorizo sausage and cheese and covered with enchilada sauce and baked. It was very good! Not very healthy...but good!
Lovely post! Beautiful photos too! I was struggling to let summer pass by, but I think now I am completely ready to embrace fall!

Perfect! I love the picture of your kitties. I'm all like yeah, all you other commenters think those kids and kitties are cute but I KNOW them! Yay me! Okay, so I have lots to share with you so I will email you later. Let's just say I had a successful day! Hugs, Jen
ReplyDeleteMy favorite shot is the storm rolling in. It reminded me so much of my former life in West Michigan. As turbulant as that picture looks, it's completely the picture of serenity to me. The barn, the gravel road, the green grass. Gorgeous shot. What camera are you using?
ReplyDeleteI HEART August too!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna miss August.......but I sure do love me some September. I hope to enjoy every stinkin' day of it.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics!
ReplyDeleteIn August, the large masses of berries, dazzling flowers had attracted many wild bees and gradually assumed their bright velvety crimson hue.
