Today we officially cross over from Spring to Summer Vacation.
From lilacs to peonies to phlox to sunflowers.
Sweet Cheeks and Jabber Jaws are back under our roof and we've got big, big plans.

I'm so thankful for the 4 days I had alone with Little Dude.
We smothered him up good and gooey with extra attention.

It was a relaxing prelude to the start of It All.

You know what goes well with Summer?

Yeah, I knew you already knew that.
A little reminder never hurts anything.

So fun! Enjoy your summer.
ReplyDeleteI'm always so impressed with how love-y and passionate you are about your kids, in a way that's upbeat without being syrupy-sweet.
ReplyDeleteAlso, with how much you enjoy being with them---the focus on FUN is inspirational. ('Cause I get so doggone TIRED.)
Here's to a Happy Summer!

ReplyDeleteWe can't officially swing in to summer here yet as we still have five days of school left! Rat Salad!
ReplyDeleteBut after that? I am drinking sweet tea, eating fruits, melons, Kool Aide, sliding with the kiddos ON the slip 'N slide and looking forward to being outside mostly ALL of the time!!! I see beaches, Diego bikes and lemonade stands in my very near future!
Can I get a witness? Hooray!
Lovely as usual! I could eat those sweet cheeks.

ReplyDeleteBring on summer! We are ready. I'm jealous your lilacs are out - we have another week or two up here in MI before ours are ready. I'm anxious to put some on my table!
